Independent Sub-Zero refrigeration service in Mandarin, Jacksonville

$129 flat diagnostic, credited toward the repair

Pricing

What it costs

One flat fee to find out what is wrong, credited toward the repair. No hourly diagnostic, no trip charge on top, no separate dispatch fee.

Hands holding an orange-cased multimeter against an exposed circuit board under the base of a refrigerator, ribbon connectors and coloured wiring running away to the right.
The diagnostic is the work, not the visit

The diagnostic

One flat fee to come out, test the system and tell you what is wrong. It is credited toward the repair if you go ahead with the work.

It is flat rather than hourly on purpose. An hourly diagnostic rewards a slow diagnosis and punishes a fast one, and it makes the honest answer — that the condenser was packed with dust and the appliance is fine — an awkward conversation. A flat fee lets us tell you that without it costing you more.

The estimate

You get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any labour begins.

If the estimate is more than you want to spend, that is where it stops. You owe the diagnostic you already agreed to and nothing else, and you leave with a written account of what is wrong that you are free to take elsewhere.

Parts and warranty

Genuine OEM parts throughout. 90 days on labour, 365 days on parts. Sealed-system work is carried out under EPA Section 608 certification, which is a federal requirement for anyone recovering or charging refrigerant.

We do not fit pattern parts to sealed systems or to controls. A part that does not match the original specification is a repair that comes back, and coming back twice for the same fault costs you more than the right part did. Where the cover begins and ends is set out in full on the warranty page.

What we will tell you not to repair

Sometimes the answer is that a repair does not make sense. A cabinet that has already had several failures, or a sealed-system fault on a unit whose doors, controls and cabinet are all tired, may not be worth the work. We will say so plainly, in writing, and you will still have bought a clear answer rather than a series of guesses.

Questions we are asked

Pricing and parts

What does the diagnostic visit cost?
A flat $129. That covers coming out, testing the system and telling you what is wrong. It is credited toward the repair if you go ahead with the work, and you get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any labour begins.
Do you use genuine parts?
Genuine OEM parts throughout. Parts are covered for 365 days and the labour for 90 days. We do not fit pattern parts to sealed systems or to controls, because a part that does not match the original specification is a repair that comes back.
Will I know the price before the work starts?
Yes. You get a written estimate before any part is ordered and before any labour begins. If the estimate is not what you expected, you are free to stop there, and the only thing you owe is the flat $129 diagnostic you already agreed to.
How long does it take if a part has to be ordered?
Common parts are usually on the van. Where something has to be ordered, we tell you the expected wait at the time of the estimate rather than afterwards. Mandarin is compact, so the return visit is generally a short trip to arrange.

Anything else, call (904) 664-4866, read how to reach us, or see the full list of questions. We work on Sub-Zero refrigeration only.
